FAMILY THERON - STANDARD OR PREMIERE AUPAIR required within next few months. John and Diana are professionals in their early forties. They have a delightful 3 year old son Sean whos is learning to play the piano and is bright and active. They stay in Laguna Beach, an exclusive, small, beach community close to Los Angeles in California. They are looking for a young woman with good child care experience, perhaps even some qualification, although that is not essential; but you must be a very friendly, warm, honest and energetic person who likes children and the outdoors - beach, hiking, camping, skiing.  They would  like someone who is warm and has creative ways of keeping Sean stimulated throughout the day; someone who would like to spend time with them as a family for some of the evenings and weekends e.g. having dinner with them now and then, and maybe going away with them for weekends every once in a while. NETHERLANDS

Family Verdyk.Family is looking for a South African au pair who speaks fluent English and/or Afrikaans. Also it is important that you are active, cheerful and have a good sense of humour. Start date; December 1st 2008 or January 1st 2009. Family is Roman Catholic but is not actively practising. They will respect your beliefs. There are 2 children: a girl named Livia and she is 3,5 years old and a boy named Simeon and he will be almost 2 when you arrive! Family is Dutch but parents also speak English. Host mom Erlyn used to work as a Spanish teacher and also speaks Spanish.  There is some light housework included but it is not much: putting the laundry in the dryer, sorting and folding laundry, cooking for the family(2 or 3 times a week) vacuming 2 times a week and packing and clearing the dishwasher. Family lives in Den Bosch, also called ‘s Hertogenbosch. This is a large city in the southern part of Holland, where a lot of au pairs are placed. The city is very lively and a lot of young people live there. Everything you are looking for is located in the city centre and especially in the summertime; you will have the opportunity to get to know the famous terraces of the city! Family lives in a detached house with 5 bedrooms and 1 room. The house is located in a very nice neighbourhood with a lot of young families, schools and a large supermarket. The house is decorated with a mix of antiques and modern stuff and has a very cosy and warm athmosphere. They are thinking about buying another house in the neighbourhood. You will have your own room in the attic. It is app. 5 by 3.5 metres, it is white and fresch and you have alot of privacy. The family sleeps one floor down, the shared bathroom is also on the first floor. In your room you will have cable TV, a DVD player and a laptop with internet acces.

300 Euro per month to be paid at the end of each month, plus room and board and full health insurance plus phone allowance (10 Euro per month). The family will also pay for the cost of airfare up to a max. of 800 Euro (must stay at least 6 months) as well as a language course (according to program conditions). You will get the use over a mobile phone, a bike and will get a discount card to use the train!

All in all this is a very nice family with an international outlook. They are looking for a fun, happy and open au pair who will become a part of their family. They like to laugh and so a sense of humour is very important in this family.

FAMILY WATSON - EXP. MOTHERS HELP - Required end Feb. 3 children a girl of 8 and boys aged 6 and 2. The older children attend school daily. Mum at home and would like someone who is happy to be part of the family and be a good extra pair of hands. Family washing and ironing, some cooking, keeping the kitchen area clean and the bathrooms, all nursery duties.Needs to be good with the children and help with the 2 year old when mum not around etc. Able to assist with homework and activities.  Good manual driving as this position is in the country - not very rural as it is a large village and 3 miles from Farnham, a large, busy Hampshire town. Someone flexible and laid back who will enjoy country life as well as wanting to see bright lights. Suit mature, independent girl. Family are of the Christian Faith,non-smokers and have a cat and a rabbit. Own room share bathroom with the children. 250 pounds per week.
 
FAMILY BOGUSH - NANNY required early Feb.  3 children, all boys aged 8 years old and twins of 5 all attending school daily. Present nanny from New Zealand going home after her year on the 11th Feb.. She highly recommends and will speak to new applicants. Mum works 3 full days per week. Nanny will be expected to carry put all normal nursery duties together with helping with homework and organising fun projects. She must be able to stimulate the boys as well as have fun. She will need to take and collect from school and after school activities. Making sure appointments with dentist etc. are kept.There will be some non-childcare related errands and cooking. Manual driving. Car will be available for own use most of the time by arrangement. This job requires someone warm, intelligent and mature and someone that wont mind mum being around 2 days per week. During school holidays to arrange outings etc. Own room and bathroom. Monday to Friday with two nights baby-sitting per week, weekend baby-sitting by arrangement. No pets, non-smokers, Jewish Faith keeping the dietary laws (will teach - no problem) but not religious. East Finchley - great position with absolutely everything needed and excellent transport. Family are very well known to us. Salary 275 pounds per week to comemnce. Great Family.
 
 
FAMILY RAPP- Mothers Help 25+ - Required ASAP - 3 children aged 14 (girl) 12 (boy) and 6 years old(girl). Single mum (originally from South Africa) who keeps full time housekeeper, but does require some general light housework daily, cooking and manual driving for school runs. Hours 7 - 10 am then free until about 2/3pm in the afternoon working 7pm. Girl must be very flexible and accommodating as this is a busy household. 2 Free days not always at weekends, 2 nights baby-sitting,. Own bedroom and bathroom. Jewish Faith but not religious, non smokers. Hampstead Area - 15 minutes from Central London, large nanny circle and everything you could possibly need. 180 pounds per week.

Last 3 girls have been Australian and very happy. Mum at home but leads hectic life and needs an extra pair of hands. All nursery duties to include everything for the children, tidying up after them, making and changing their beds, their laundry and ironing, cooking for them.  Baby-sitting once or twice per week with occasional Saturday night baby-sitting by arrangement.Easy job and free weekends. Family also have a country home in Oxfordshire and they would like mothers help to go with them sometimes and if over weekend days given off in lieu - beautiful place. Family home is in Central London-Battersea - near Knightsbridge and Kensington. Own lovely room and share bathroom with the children. Driving not necessary. Cleaner kept.  No pets (although they might get a dog), non-smokers, Christian Faith but not religious. Someone warm and friendly who loves kids and who can amuse and stimulate them. Monday - Friday -  3 Saturday nights baby-sitting with one full weekend free. Own room and ensuite bathroom, TV etc. No pets, Jewish Faith but not practising. Mum works between 1 and 3 full days per week as she is freelance fashion stylist and works when booked to do so. Sometimes very busy. Flexibility is essential and love of little ones. Whetstone Area - near Finchley, Golders Green, Totteridge - super area with everything and excellent transport. 20 minutes to Central London. Driving not necessary. Family have been known to us since the twins were born. 160 pounds per week.
 
FAMILY CHARLES - Unusual Mothers Help/Housekeeper job -  Required end March   Wonderful opportunity for an experienced girl to be part of this great family, known to us for many years. 3 children - boys aged 13 and 10 and a girl of 7 all attending school daily and obviously the 13 year old boy does not need much help - except maybe with a little advice or guidance with homework projects.  Mum works full time as a Lawyer.  Everything for the children, including their rooms, laundry, dealing with school letters and appointments, taking the younger two to school and collecting. Sometimes collecting the oldest boy from his coach stop. Family shopping. Meal preparation and basically anything that needs doing. Hectic time is 7.30 - 9.00 am and then after school. Live-out au-pair comes in every afternoon to do the housework and ironing and mothers help must be able to organise her and know what needs doing. Mothers help to keep anything she uses or the children use clean and tidy. Arranging outings and activities, guidance and encouragement with homework. Family have a small dog - very friendly are non-smokers and of the Jewish faith, not religious but keeping the dietary laws. Own room, bathroom, phone line, cable TV and mobile. Many perks. SOUTH AFRICA

BEDFORDVIEW : GAUTENG  LIVE-IN. R6000 per month plus car. Start date: Jan 09

THIS INCREDIBLE POSITION IS OPEN TO MALE AND FEMALE AUPAIRS AND IS INTERVIEWING NOW FOR A JAN 09 START DATE.
 
Our client has three teenagers, a son of 16 and twin girls of  12.  Our  client is a busy professional mom with an established business and part of your duties will be to assist in the business in the mornings. 
 
One of the girls is diabetic and manages her insulin without assistance, but the aupair is required to familiarise her self with the condition and all it entails.
 
DUTIES:
  • Morning, first thing:  Ensure kids' school lunches are prepared and that all school bags are packed;  take the kids to school.
  • The position also includes PR work at the mom's  office during the morning, from about 08h30 to 12h00.  This includes basic office work, running necessary errands for the office, and assisting in other duties when needed.
  • Running errands for the family, when necessary.
  • Grocery shopping.
  • Collecting kids from school, and other necessary transport (appointments, etc.)
  • Assisting with the kids' homework and school projects; making sure the kids are well organised.
  • Meal preparation.
  • Other duties as required by and discussed with the parents.
 
During school terms, the days start at about 06h15, to ensure timely preparation of school lunches, and getting the kids ready for school. 
 
During holiday periods, the days normally start about 08h15 - 08h30, when the au pair is required at the office as per usual (sometimes she will stay at home with the kids, but days will still start at that time).
 
Depending on the amount of schoolwork, projects, etc., days end between 17h00 and 18h00.
 
No weekend hours are required, unless specially requested by and discussed with the parents.
 
The au pair will stay in the cottage, which is part of the main house but has its own entrance.  The cottage has a spacious bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette and is beautifully decorated;  there is access to DSTV.
 
The au pair would have to have lots of energy and tenacity, as well well as patience and drive.  He/She should be warm and friendly as well as understanding, with a good ear for listening.  And, of course, a good sense of humour! 
 
This position offer R6000 per month plus a company car and petrol and is interviewing now for a Jan 3rd start date. The right candidate will have great child care references with older children, a valid driver's license, and a friendly and caring demeanor. Zulu at matric level would be a distinct advantage and good matric results or a university degree would be a plus. You need to commit for a year.
