There is no requirement to set up offices, agents can work from home. Agents are expected to recruit suitable candidates for the programs, to run interviews and assist selected candidates to complete the application forms timeously. Agents will act as the liaison between JCR and the candidate, assist with pre-departure orientation and provide placement and flight information to the candidate.

JCR  provides accepted agents with all training, stationery requirements, and ongoing support as well as exclusivity for an area. (if your area is not available, we will refer you to the agency there to discuss a sub -agency). JCR  guarantees placement to all candidates accepted for the programs and manages all placement information, flight bookings and visa requirements as well as providing ongoing support during the program duration, au-pair departure kits, regular feedback  and pre-departure orientation.

• are an outgoing person, happy to speak at schools and other functions

• are willing to work flexi-time

• have a computer  with email and either a  fax machine or scanner

• would like to be working for yourself

then we would be happy to talk to you. We do not set any minimum number of applications, you set your own goals as to how much you would like to earn.

• By getting involved as an  interviewer or counsellor, you will be making a difference in the world - one person at a time. You'll be that all-important point person for young people placed in your area during their year abroad.

• Counsellor, advocate and friend are just some of the roles you will play as you oversee the program in your area and help an international  teenager get the most out of their year abroad.

• You'll help teenagers in your own community participate in our programs over seas. Opening up the world of international, experiential learning to candidates in your area is an important role of being a JCR representative.
